phases

hello world.

here is my long overdue post.

i am back in Singapore, and not really loving the weather. (as i have told everyone i met so far – but can you blame me?)

anyway, my laptop crashed on me so i couldn’t get anything done, but my brother was very (and surprisingly) kind to lend me his laptop for my personal use. mostly to get my portfolio sorted out, but hey, milk it while i can. honestly, a year ago, he would never have let me touch his laptop! or use his room!

but now here i am, with a laptop and updating my blog, although i don’t really see a point anymore.

having been back here for a week and then some now, i feel kinda displaced. perhaps i’m still not used to it yet. and it’s not like i’m trying to act all jaded or whatever, but i really feel out of place. Singapore seems to have changed in this (not so) short nine months. new malls, new train stations, new buses, new food places, new design firms, new this, new that. and a whole lot of new immigrants packing the trains like there’s no tomorrow. i guess i’m really out of touch with what’s happening here. :/

but last week, i got to meet my dearest airens. and so far, it’s been the one place where i feel at home again. the only place where i feel that nothing’s changed. perhaps we’ve all changed, a little bit, but when we’re put together, all those changes seem to disappear and we’re the old us again. and i think that’s the beauty of our friendship.
